Down the The River; Grief Ritual
Friday 6/7 6-8pm

What to expect? This is a space to honor our more disenfranchised grief(grief for our world, parts of ourselves, our earth, etc) as well as loss of loved ones, etc. We will be spending time by the fire, creating a wailing wall, journalling, doing breathwork, resting, and spending time in the Wissahickon. The schedule is below. If you'd like to reserve space, please send your sliding scale donation of $200-$500 via paypal to dawn@motherhearstudio.com or via venmo @Dawn-Smelser with "grief ritual" in the memo.

Class Etiquette

Please arrive early for every class. Note: The teacher locks the door after Yoga class begins.

Please care for personal hygiene before sharing space with others in Yoga

Please do not wear strong perfume or cologne to class.

Please bring your own Yoga mat. If you do not have one, we have some to borrow

Class Descriptions
Classical Yoga
75-minutes (In-Studio)
This class begins with centering and rest and then offers ‘Satsang’ or ‘truth talk’ on yoga philosophy in everyday human and life problems, encouraging self-trust and compassion. Question/talk back time follows, before we conclude with simple yoga postures and deep relaxation. Trauma informed, empowering, IFS informed, and community building.
Slow Flow for Emotional Care
75-minutes (In-Studio)
This class begins and ends with rest and moves slowly and combines periods of flowing through simple and gentle yoga sequences with periods of relaxed stillness. This class invites an educated relationship with our emotions based in research of what specific emotions are trying to tell us or help us with. Trauma informed, IFS informed, beneficial for stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and overall health and understanding of the whole person.
